Superintendent Search: Input Survey

The School Board invites input through a brief, confidential survey focused on district strengths, challenges, and priorities. Feedback will help inform the selection of Wawasee’s next superintendent.

Tentative Superintendent Hiring Timeline

February 2^nd - Meeting with the University Search Team for initial training and to plan the hiring process and timeline.
February 2-9 - Prepare the job advertisement and application form
February 9^th- March 13, 2026 – Advertise opening, accept applications, complete staff and community survey, develop desired superintendent profile based on the community input.
March 6^th – Survey closes
March 13^th – Share survey results
March 24^th – University Search Team meets with Board to present candidates
April 27^th – May 1^st – Board conducts interviews and negotiates contract
May 4^th – May 14^th – Advertise contract
May 18^th – May 22^nd – Hold public hearing and hire superintendent
May 26^th – Negotiated start date for superintendent based on allowing the candidate to honor obligations, commitments and responsibilities from the job they are leaving.
