Tentative Superintendent Hiring Timeline
Your Spring Break is April 6 – 10, 2026
- February 2nd - Meeting with the University Search Team for initial training and to plan the hiring process and timeline.
- February 2-9 - Prepare the job advertisement and application form
- February 9th - March 13, 2026 – Advertise opening, accept applications, complete staff and community survey, develop desired superintendent profile based on the community input.
- March 6th – Survey closes
- March 13th – Share survey results
- March 24th – University Search Team meets with Board to present candidates
- March 24 – April 17 – Board conducts interviews and negotiates contract
- April 20-30 – Advertise contract
- April 30 – May 7 – Hold public hearing and hire superintendent
- April 30 – July 1 – Negotiated start date for superintendent based on allowing the candidate to honor obligations, commitments and responsibilities from the job they are leaving.
